This shield is easy to make! Print the pages, tape them together, cut out the pieces, transfer to your material and assemble! If this is to be worn with vambraces, I highly recommend that you make your shield strap measurements while wearing the vambraces to ensure a good fit.
These patterns are designed to be used with EVA or craft foam, but you can use any material you desire.
SIZING:
This pattern can be sized up or down depending on your needs. The patterned shield measures 18” across the widest section by 25” long.
SUGGESTED MATERIALS:
~ 6 to 8 mm EVA foam, or 3 to 4 EVA floor mat
(we recommend the large foam sheets available through TNTcosplay.com)
~ 2 mm adhesive backed foam
~ Chicago screws
~ Vinyl or leather for arm straps
~ Thermoplastic such as Worbla
~ Utility knife
~ Heat gun
~ Super glue
~ Pattern wheel/Tracing wheel
~ Something to seal your foam such as Mod Podge or Plastidip or both
~ Masking Tape
~ Paint of your choice
~ Contact cement
~ 2 button rivets (also known as “Sam Brown buttons”) (Optional)
